Festival Place has announced when it will welcome back shoppers with added safety measures in place.
On June 15 the Basingstoke shopping centre will reopen its doors to the public with many of its non-essential stores trading.
New signage has been placed around the centre, including a one-way system and social distance queuing outside the stores.
Hand sanitisers will be found at the centre’s entrances and a thorough cleaning regime will be carried out regularly throughout the day.
The centre has been partially open since March with essential shops such as supermarkets, banks and pharmacies open.
FP director Neil Churchill said: “We are very excited to welcome back our customers – it has been a very strange time for us all. But our priority as always is the health and wellbeing of our customers and employees of Festival Place.
“So, you will notice a few changes and we will ask you all to keep to social distancing to make sure that we are safe and continuing to look after each other.
“We have produced clear, but friendly, signs around the centre to show people how to shop safely and our enhanced cleaning procedures are all in place.
“We hope that our fabulous and loyal customers will come back and support all the retailers in Basingstoke so that we can get back to normal levels of trading very soon.”
The centre is currently open from 9am-6pm Monday – Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday. Customers are advised check the Festival Place website and individual retailer pages for their specific hours as these may differ.
