There have been two new coronavirus death recorded across all Hampshire hospitals in the past 24 hours.

It comes as England today (Thursday) moves closer to 28,000 coronavirus-related deaths in hospitals.

Figures released by NHS England today show that amongst the new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, none were at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals.

No new deaths was recorded at Portsmouth Hospital, two were recorded at University Hospital Southampton and none at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

A further 115 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,159.

Patients were aged between 26 and 100 years old.  Five of the 115 patients (aged between 53 and 97) had no known underlying health condition.
