Emergency services have been called to Hatch Warren this afternoon following an incident.

Nearby residents spotted half-a-dozen police cars, two police vans and paramedics in Constantine Way just after 2pm today.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary has now told the Gazette: "We attended an address in Constantine Way, Basingstoke at around 2pm today, in order to carry out enquiries.
"A man became threatening towards officers and was arrested.

"The man, who is in his 30s, currently remains in custody."
