After the council announcing that the bins will be collected every other week, as we feared it has turned into a disaster.
The council said that if you have too much rubbish you can leave two extra black bags by your bin. But the bin men have refused to pick them up, leaving bags of rubbish all over the estate.
Perhaps the council should have told them to pick them up?
These companies are supposed to be environmental. What’s environmental about rubbish been strewn around the estate by cats and magpies? Leaving a trail of dirty nappies and discarded food everywhere.
And also recycling bins haven’t been emptied due to an alleged contamination of one misplaced glass bottle. Why can’t they remove said bottle and place it into the glass container?
Perhaps serial offenders need to be re-educated on recycling by sticking a leaflet to the bin. My neighbour's bin hasn’t been emptied for months and they’ve left it in the public pathway.
They have also resorted to burning their extra rubbish (nappies, plastic and household) in their back garden at 3am.
