There have been no new coronavirus deaths recorded across all Hampshire hospitals.

It comes as England today (Tuesday) moves closer to 26,000 coronavirus-related deaths in hospitals.

Figures released by NHS England today show that amongst the new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, none were at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals. This was the fourth consecutive day where no new deaths were recorded at the hospital trust.

No new deaths were recorded at Portsmouth Hospital, none were recorded at University Hospital Southampton and none at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

A further 116 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 25,866.

Patients were aged between 50 and 100 years old.  One of the 116 patients (aged 71) had no known underlying health condition.
