There have been no new deaths recorded at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust for seven days.

Data shows the Trust, which runs Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital as well as hospitals in Andover and Winchester, has not recorded any coronavirus-related deaths since Saturday, May 16.

It comes as today's death toll was the lowest Saturday total since lockdown began on March 23.

It was announced today that a further 282 people had died after testing positive for coronavirus, including a 12-year-old child.

This has taken the total number of victims to 36,675.

The 12-year-old victim passed away in a hospital in England and becomes the fourth child under the age of 15 to succumb to the virus in the UK.

Britain's youngest victim was a six-week-old baby who died earlier this month.

Of the deaths recorded, 157 were in hospitals, with the rest of the fatalities registered in the wider community and care homes - where the virus is still prevelant.
