THREE coronavirus deaths have been recorded at the trust that runs Basingstoke and Andover hospitals.

Two of the deaths at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust occurred on Saturday, whilst one patient passed away from Covid-19 on Friday.

It means the total number of coronavirus tests at the Trust has passed 150, now standing at 151.

Elsewhere in Hampshire, two patients were announced to have passed away after testing positive for the virus at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.

However, at Frimley Health, Solent, Southern Health and University Hospital Southampton Trusts, no new coronavirus deaths were reported in the 24 hours leading up to 9am this morning.

Across England's hospitals, a further 122 people have passed away from the virus, with patients aged between 47 and 100 years old.

Seven of the 122 patients (aged between 50 and 85) had no known underlying health condition.

This is the lowest the number has been since the start of the lockdown.

However, the number of deaths recorded is often lower on Sunday and Monday.
