One coronavirus death was reported at the trust that runs Basingstoke and Andover hospitals in the previous 24 hours, the NHS have announced.

It takes the total death toll at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to 148 since the start of the outbreak.

Meanwhile, one more death was recorded at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, as well as one at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.

There were no new deaths at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust or Solent NHS Trust.

Four deaths were recorded at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, who run Frimley Park hospital near Farnborough as well as sites in Ascot and Slough.

In all, 186 people who are believed to have had Covid-19 died in hospitals in England in the past 24 hours.

Of these, 26 deaths did not have a positive Covid-19 test result, but the virus was documented as a direct or underlying cause of death.

Patients were aged between 15 and 99 years old. 10 of the 186 patients (aged between 30 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Today, 21 fewer people died in England's hospitals because of the virus than yesterday.
