BRITISH actor Joshua Sasse has named his baby after his great grandfather Lord Camrose.

In an announcement about the birth of his son on Instagram, Galavant actor Joshua revealed that his new-born’s name is Dominic Charles Camrose Sasse.

The 32-year-old, who used to date Kylie Minogue, is the maternal great-grandson of Lord Camrose, whose daughter Diana Phyllis Berry was Joshua’s grandmother.

Lord Camrose lived at Hackwood House in Basingstoke, which he gave to the Royal Canadian Army as a hospital, free of payment in 1940 to use during the war.

Around 16,500 troops were treated there and by 1945 it had become the Basingstoke Neurological and Plastic Surgery Hospital, which was later moved to Park Prewett.

Lord Camrose also signed a covenant to protect football being played at The Camrose ground in Basingstoke until 2053, a document that his great-grandson Joshua previously told the Gazette he was aware of.

It was signed by Lord William Berry, Viscount Camrose in 1953 and states that the Winchester Road site must remain as a football ground for 100 years.

Joshua’s son’s first name Dominic is the same as his late father who died in a plane crash in 1992.

He announced the birth of his son with wife Louisa on May 5 saying: “My beautiful world! My superhero wife Louisa has given us our magnificent son Dominic Charles Camrose Sasse. We feel so blessed, even though our families can’t visit us or see him, that we’ve been able to have such treasured time at home together. Welcome my boy, you’ll see the world one day soon I promise, but for now our love and cuddles will have to do.”
