A FEW weeks ago, the Gazette ran an online quiz which later made its way to the paper (Gazette, April 16).
Readers were tested on their knowledge of obscure locations in and around Basingstoke.
If you still haven't tried the quiz and would like to, you can find the questions by following this link.
Having since received many a response from eagle-eyed residents, here we share with those all important answers – how many did you get correct?
1. Roman Road roundabout, coming from north to south along Roman Road
2. A pedestrian overpass on the A339, just a few metres from Roman Road roundabout (heading west, away from town)
3. Priestley Road underpass, beneath the A339 (on the northern side)
4. Church Street (looking south, facing back toward the church)
5. Buses going down Churchill Way in the 1970s. Images: Dick Dapre
6. The bus stop on Priestley Road by the hospital
7. A tricky one – the crossroads between Pack Lane, Kempshott Lane and Buckskin Lane (facing south from Buckskin Lane)
8. Lime Pits car park
9. The field next to Russell Howard park, seen from the end of St Andrews Road
Bonus: Gazette House, home to the Basingstoke Gazette
