Residents across Basingstoke stood outside their homes tonight to give a heartfelt round of applause for healthcare staff working through the coronavirus pandemic.
In a show of unity amid this lockdown, households showed their appreciation for the guardian angels of the NHS who are working through the night to care for those in the community.
Thousands across the town took part, with parts of Oakridge, Popley, Brighton Hill, Old Basing and Worting alive with the sound of clapping just after 8pm.
