The NUMBER of cases of coronavirus in Hampshire has increased by 44 in 24 hours.

This brings the total amount of Covid-19 cases to 251 in the region.

Hampshire still has the highest amount of cases outside of London. 

On Tuesday, it was confirmed that 207 patients in Hampshire had tested positive.

It comes after a young woman, 21, died of coronavirus in Buckinghamshire.

And NHS England announced that a further 43 people from England tested positive for the disease had died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 465 in the last 24 hours.

There have been 1,452 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UK in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 9,529.

Out of 9,529 coronavirus cases, 135 people have recovered.

The government announced in the press conference this afternoon that in just 24 hours, 405,000 people have responded to the call to help the NHS.
