The NUMBER of deaths in the UK has climbed to 437 after further fatalities were confirmed in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Six more deaths in Scotland take the total there to 22, and Nicola Sturgeon has said there are 51 people now in intensive care who have been diagnosed with coronavirus or are suspected to have it.

There are five more deaths in Wales, raising the toll to 22.

And a further two in Northern Ireland, bringing the total deaths to seven.

More than 8,000 people have tested positive in the UK, including Prince Charles, whose diagnosis was announced earlier.

The regional confirmed cases of coronavirus have not been released yet.
