New figures confirm the death toll has risen to 137 in the UK from the coronavirus, the BBC reports.

In the past 24 hours, a further 29 people have died from Covid-19 across the country.

Yesterday, figures showed that 77 people in the Hampshire have been officially diagnosd with the virus.

However, this figure could be higher as many people who are showing symptoms have not been tested.

The Hampshire County Council area remains the county with the highest number of cases in the UK outside of London.

The capital is still the worst affect area, with roughly one third of all deaths occuring there and officials estimating London is around three weeks ahead of the rest of the country.
