POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses after a man in his early 20s exposed himself to a teenager in Popley last week.

The 18-year old woman was sat on a bench near the junction of John Hunt Drive and Popley Way on Friday, February 7, when the man approached her, exposed himself and grabbed at her clothes, according to police.

He allegedly ran away down a footpath, and the woman was not injured.

Police say the incident took place between 10pm and 11pm, and officers are looking for anyone who may have seen anything to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "We are keen to hear from anyone with information on this incident.

"Were you in the area of the junction of Popley Way and John Hunt Drive around this time?

"Do you remember seeing something suspicious? Perhaps you remember seeing someone who matches the description given?

"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44200052747.

"Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously."

The man is described as being white, of slim build, having slim lips, a thing chin, light coloured facial hair and was wearing a black hoodie and dark bottoms.
