The Gazette's story about unearthing a covenant protecting the Camrose ground from development has hit headlines on the television.

The newspaper's sports editor Graham Merry appeared on BBC South Today on Tuesday to explain what the discovery of the covenant could mean for the future of the club.

Last week, the Gazette found a copy of historic paperwork signed by the former landowner Lord Camrose who tried to protect the pitch until 2053.

Cllr Simon Bound, who also appeared on the programme, said: "We really need to find out what the legal repercussions are about the covenant, it’s been going on for a while. I believe the football club have had quite a lot of legal advice to say that it doesn’t apply, but I think for everybody’s sake it’s really important that we sort all this out."

You can watch the programme on iPlayer until 7pm tonight.
