A teenager has been left with a suspected broken nose after allegedly being repeatedly punched and bitten in an unprovoked attack at a Basingstoke nightclub.
The incident happened at 1.38am on Sunday, February 2, in Fever and Boutique nightclub which left Abbie Mitchell, from Basingstoke with bruises.
The teen was out enjoying a night with her friends when the unknown attacker allegedly threw her drink over Abbie.
When Abbie questioned her, she was dragged to the dancefloor by her hair, punched and bitten until security intervened.
Abbie was taken by ambulance to Basingstoke hospital’s emergency department where she was described by her sister as being “swollen, bruised and shaken up”.
Skye Mitchell, 22, described the attack as “completely unprovoked”.
The customer service assistant told the Gazette: “Whoever you are, this behaviour is disgusting, and I hope the police deal with you in the right way and other girls won’t be unnecessarily attacked.”
Police have confirmed that an 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a class B drug in relation to the incident and has been released under investigations.
Another 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place and has also been released with no further action.
Fever and Boutique Basingstoke have been asked for a comment by the Gazette.
