Friends and family gathered outside the father-of-four's house this morning awaiting the funeral procession to give him "the send of he deserves".
Bikers from across Basingstoke drove alongside the hearse in memory of the 34-year-old family man who died in a fatal crash on Popley Way two days into the new decade.
Matt's mother, Denise Jukes, said: "I cannot believe that my beautiful smiley, happy go lucky boy I brought into this world and have loved unconditionally for 34 years will be laid to rest this morning.
"Rest in peace my darling boy, my heart is truly broken and will be missing a piece forever more."
Close friend, Matthew Cooke, launched a fundraising appeal to offer support to Mr Harris' family which has helped to cover some of the funeral costs for this mornings service.
His fiancée, Calley Ball, added: "Today we lay you to rest, we say our final goodbye, I miss you every day Matt - until we meet again."
His older brother, Peter Harris, paid tribute to his brothers passing in a Facebook post last night.
He said: "It's time to say a last farewell to my little brother, my best friend. All we can do for you now is try to be strong, make you proud and live life to the full with no regrets as you did every day.
"Now give them hell up there and I'm sure they will all love you as much as all of us do. Sleep tight dude and the day will come when I see you again."
Family friend, Kimberley Berry commented: "Today we say our final goodbyes but we know you're not gone, you will forever be in our hearts.
"I will miss you shouting across the street at me to get my attention and your infectious laugh. I still cannot believe you are truly gone, love and miss you until we are together again."
Police report that he died at the scene after his Honda motorbike collided with a car just before 6.30pm last month.
Another friend, Cheryl Purt, added: "Today is the day we all stand together to say our farewells to a caring loving person. You were one in a million. Fly high with your angel wings sweetie we will never forget you."
