ANYONE who wants to keep Basingstoke Town at the Camrose is asked to sign a petition to show their support.
There is now a swell of opinion that believes the best way forward for the football club is to stay at Camrose and that Winklebury Complex is not a suitable alternative.
This would also mean the town would lose a sporting facility without it being replaced.
Jess Evans started the petition to Basingstoke MP Maria Miller and said: "Our beloved football ground is being taken down it’s been the heart and soul of the town for over 50 years and now it’s being demolished to make way for housing a care home and a road. Please save our ground."
The petition is now up over 800 signatures following the recent coverage in the Gazette.
