A WOMAN was left "terrified" after a firework was thrown at her and her dog in Tadley, according to her daughter.
She said that she was walking on Furze Road last night when the incident happened, according to a post on the Spotted Tadley Facebook page.
Police have since released an appeal for witnesses.
"I cannot believe someone would do this," she wrote.
"My mum and her dog were both terrified.
"It has been reported to the police but please can anyone who might know something or if this happened to anyone else please could they ring [101] and give the police any additional information."
Hampshire Constabulary launched an appeal this morning for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "I can confirm we received a report from a woman who had a firework thrown towards her in Furze Road, Tadley.
"The incident occurred at 5.32pm on Sunday, January 12. The 64-year-old woman was walking her dog when the firework was thrown from a car and landed in front of her.
"If anyone has any information about this incident, please call 101 quoting reference 44200014305.
"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
