COMMUTERS travelling south face delays this morning (Tuesday) with closures affecting a stretch of the M27 and a junction from the M3.

Police have closed the M27 westbound between Junction 4 and Junction 3 due to a “concern for welfare call on the bridge over the motorway”.

Junction 14 of the M3 southbound, where the motorway joins the M27, is also shut.

Officers say they are “working to get it open asap” and have thanked drivers for their patience.

Heavy traffic on surrounding roads, including the B3335, through Twyford, the B3354, through Fair Oak, and the A335, through Eastleigh, has also been reported and is “not being helped” by the issues with the motorway.
