EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a multi-car crash on a road near Basingstoke.
Police say they were called to the A33, between Church End and Sherfield on Loddon, at 4.41pm this afternoon (Thursday).
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is also at the scene and have confirmed firefighters are extricating someone from their vehicle. Three pumps from Basingstoke are currently in attendance.
The fire service says three vehicles were involved in the crash, whereas the police have the number at two.
One person involved in the incident has sustained "leg injuries", a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette.
The crash took place at near Sherfield School, and the road is now blocked in both directions.
Long tailbacks as far back as Chineham to the south and Stratfield Turgis to the north have been reported.
