Whitchurch end year on a high

WHITCHURCH United finished off 2019 last Saturday, with a league double over and Totton and Eling in the Wessex League Division One.

For the second time this season they beat their Hampshire rivals 2-0 with Ryan Long and Jamie Blackburn the men on target.

This Saturday the Jam Boys have a trip to the Isle of Wight to face East Cowes Vics.

Then on Wednesday night they entertain Tadley Calleva of the Premier Division in the semi-final of the North Hants Senior Cup.

Last weekend, Tadley lost 2-1 to visiting Solent University in the Wessex League Premier Division.

Nick Bagnall gave the home side an early lead, but goals from Jean-Pierre Alexander and Ethan Taylor gave the visitors victory.

This Saturday, Tadley have a tough away trip to Dorset to face Hamworthy.

AFC Aldermaston this weekend return to Hellenic League Division One East action with a trip to Abingdon.

The team did not have a game last Saturday.

Overton United are also back in action after a weekend off and this Saturday as they look to book a place in the last eight of the Hampshire Trophy when they take on Alton Reserves.
