REVISED bin collection dates will be in effect across the borough as we move into the New Year.

Bins will be emptied between one and three days later than usual, while there are also rules applying to the collection of additional side waste.

Bins that would usually be collected on Monday, December 30, will face a one-day delay, instead being emptied on Tuesday, December 31.

And those collected throughout the rest of the week will face two or even three-day delays.

Bins due to be emptied on Wednesday, January 1, will be collected on Friday, December 3.

Collections that would usually take place on Thursday, December 2, will be instead be carried out on Saturday, December 4.

And those that would have been collected on Friday, January 3, will instead be emptied out on Monday, January 6.

For the rest of the week commencing January 6, all bins will be collected one day later than usual. The scheduled is then expected to return to normal from Monday, January 13.

For the first collection after Christmas day, household side waste will be collected. It is advised that this is left next to your bin.

Recycling side waste will also be accepted. Large flattened cardboard should be left next to recycling bins and smaller items should be placed in a clear sack next to bins.

There will be no extra glass waste collection and so residents are advised to take this to a recycling bank or hold onto it until the next collection date.
