FURTHER burglaries have been reported throughout the borough, many of which involved the culprits smashing their way through rear patio or conservatory doors.
Thieves targeted four homes in Hook on Thursday, in incidents believed to be “part of a larger series of burglaries which are occurring over a vast area”, police say.
And now police have shared details of six further incidents which took place across Basingstoke and Deane this past week.
Sometime between 10pm on Monday and 7am on Tuesday, burglars gained access to a property in Harts Lane, Newtown, and stole a number of tools.
A number of items were then taken from homes in Hepplewhite Close, Baughurst, on Thursday evening and Gangbridge Lane, St Mary Bourne, on Friday afternoon after the culprits smashed the rear patio doors.
A property in the Cedars, Headley, was also broken into, this time by smashing the conservatory doors, sometime between Wednesday at 00.01am and Thursday at 9.45am.
An outbuilding in Stratfield Saye Park was also burgled between 7pm on Friday and 9am this morning (Saturday), with a large amount of gardening equipment stolen. Entry was gained by forcing the gate open and then breaking into the outbuilding via the metal shutters.
And this morning at around 2.30am a business vehicle parked on Dean Lane, Charter Alley, was broken into and a number of “expensive items” were stolen. The informant was woken by noises and chased the suspected culprits away.
Police are asking anyone who might have information about any of these events to contact them on 101.
