BASINGSTOKE is a “brilliant” place to be, according to the victor of the ‘Most Inspiring Winner of Winners’ award.

David Ayre, founder and director of Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt, says that the town’s connectivity amongst the South is one of the things that makes it so great.

“From our point of view, the location of it, so connectivity throughout the whole of the South and London, is brilliant,” he said shortly after picking up his awards.

“I think there’s definitely momentum with the town and that’s very exciting.

“We’re based in Basing View and the number of things going on there at the moment is great, and that’s very attractive to us as a businesses and our team.”

Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt picked up two awards on the night, first winning the Medium Business of the Year award before being picked as the Most Inspiring Winner of Winners.

When David’s name was called, he said he was “shocked” at the recognition.

“We’re very proud, this has been a long, long journey,” David continued.

“I think this is fantastic for Basingstoke. We were a start-up and to come through into this kind of category and secure this is brilliant, and just down to the amazing people we have.”

Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt are currently involved in a number of construction projects in Basingstoke and across the region.

“We’ve been involved with BCoT (Basingstoke College of Technology) for ten years and we have a very strong relationship,” David added.

Tracy Welch, Business Director of Priority Appointments, the sponsor of the Medium Business of the Year award, said that Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt were “an ambitious company who demonstrated a clear and detailed plan that will enable them to achieve their goals and objectives.
