DRAMATIC photos show the damage caused to two cars after a "major collision" that happened near Black Dam roundabout on Saturday.

Two cars were involved in the crash that left serious damage to both vehicles and one of the drivers in shock.

In photos provided to the Gazette by one of the drivers involved, both cars have significant bodywork damage, with most of the damage visible on the white Ford Fiesta.

Shakeeb Shaikh said: "I thought it was the end of my days.

"I was driving and this car overtook me. Further down the road, there was a puddle of water.

"The car skidded and went around, hitting the trees and came back onto the road. I hit his car. My car was completely damaged and his car was completely damaged."

The incident happened at around 11.25pm, on the A30 London Road toward Hook, just after Black Dam roundabout.

He described how witnesses to the event were "completely surprised" to see both drivers walk away uninjured, and said he was in shock at the time.

Three police cars were sent to the scene.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called at 11.39pm following reports of a collision on the A30 London Road, involving two cars. No injuries. No arrests.”
