Basingstoke is amongst the most expensive places to eat out in the UK, according to new research.
On average, diners in the town spend £50 on a three course meal, which puts Basingstoke joint fourth on the list.
The only places more expensive is Edinburgh, London and Brighton.
Alongside Basingstoke, diners in Aberdeen, Bristol, Cambridge, Colchester, Crawley and Glasgow also have expensive tastes.
The study, from Compare My Mobile's Cost of Living comparison, finds that on average, people from Basingstoke spend up to £600 a year eating out, whilst residents of Kingston upon Thames, just 40 miles away, fork out £456 a year.
For those looking for a cheap meal, Kingston upon Thames and Westminster are the cheapest in the country, at £38 and £32 a meal respectively.
Elsewhere, Barnsley, Belfast, Cardiff, Durham, Kingston upon Hull, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle upon Tyne cost on average £40 a meal.
