PEOPLE are knocking on doors and posing as council workers in Oakley, according to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
They said in a Tweet that people were going to addresses in St John’s Piece offering to cut hedges for a fee.
A council spokesperson said: “We’d like to make people aware that these people are not from the council and to be cautious.
"We don’t undertake this type of work,” they continued.
