A DISUSED allotment building was completely destroyed by a blaze in Whitchurch last night.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Bloswood Drive just before 11pm behind the industrial estate.
Crews used the hose reels to extinguish the flames, but the cause of the fire is still unclear with an investigation into the source of the blaze ongoing.
While firefighters dealt the with flames the area was closed off due to a risk of 'asbestos'.
The blaze was quickly brought under control, the firefighters ran into some difficulties after their truck got stuck in the mud.
A spokes person for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A specialised maintenance vehicle was deployed to help free the engine.
"It was dug out and helped free.
"At no point did this hinder the efforts of firefighters to get the fire under control."
The stop message was received at 3.10am this morning.
