The car crashed into a sign on the island in the middle of the road
POLICE and an ambulance attended the scene a car crash in Popley this evening (Saturday).
The incident happened in Popley Way, near St Gabriel's Church.
A black car smashed into a lamppost in the central island in the middle of the road.
Delays had been affecting cars travelling in both direction but traffic has since eased.
It is believed the crash happened just after 6pm.
Witnessese reported three police cars in attendance, plus an ambulance.
