TRAIN passengers travelling through Basingstoke railway station could face disruption to their journeys this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday services between London Waterloo and Salisbury/Exeter will be affected by scheduled engineering works taking place between Woking and Basingstoke.
A replacement bus service will operate between the two towns. Bus journeys are expected to take 50 minutes.
Passengers will then have at least seven minutes to catch connecting trains, although waiting times could be longer depending on the time of day they travel.
For those travelling all the way to or from London, journey planners are advising it would be quicker to travel via Reading and London Paddington, rather than the usual route via Woking and London Waterloo.
The changes affect passengers travelling in both directions.
