LIP FOLIAGE, mouth brow or face beard - whatever your preferred turn of phrase for a moustache is, be prepared to see a lot more of them this month.

Staff at Basingstoke Skip Hire, based on Wade Road in Basingstoke, will be among the hundreds taking part in No Shave November event to raise money for good causes.

Male employees including managing director Mick Mercer will be letting their facial hair grow in aid of Children in Need.

This will involve ditching the razors for the whole of November - and putting up with any subsequent itchiness.

Laurie Hughes said: “Charity work is a big part of our family-run company ethics and we hope to raise as much as possible from supporters, customers and suppliers towards this worthy cause.”

Children in Need is taking place on Friday, November 15 and will be televised on BBC.

Film crews will be coming to Basingstoke to record a special fundraising event at Flip Out trampoline park. There will be live music, face-painting with the park open until the later time of 10pm.
