STAGECOACH have again taken a decision to change the route of a bus service within Basingstoke without any consultation or consideration for the travelling public.

As from November 17 2019 the No. 76 will no longer call at the top of town or along Worting Rd to the Fire Station roundabout.

This part of the route will be missed out and instead the No. 76 service will leave the bus station, travel along Churchill Way and rejoin the current route at the Greenway stop near the Leisure Park.

Likewise in the opposite direction the bus will also bypass Worting Rd from the Leisure Park stop and travel directly into the bus station along Churchill Way.

This will result in those passengers not being able to get off at Morrisons or BCOT.

Like me, this rash decision will greatly affect any passengers who currently join the service in the Worting Road/South Ham area and travel to Oakley, Overton, Whitchurch or Andover. Stagecoach seem intent to continue to disrupt the travelling plans of the travelling public.

A little more thought by the managers that make these decisions would be appreciated, along with some actual communication to gain some idea from passengers on the effects of their badly thought changes.
