TRAIN passengers travelling via Basingstoke railway station could face further delays and disruption this afternoon (Sunday).
Earlier today, a fault on a train left all lines heading west from the town blocked for approximately 30 minutes.
The issue has since been resolved, but South Western Railway is now warning that disruption could continue through this afternoon.
Services are said to be at risk of being “cancelled, delayed or revised”.
A notice on the company website reads: “Following a train fault at Basingstoke all westbound lines have now reopened.
“Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 16:00.”
