THE Devizes MP has backed a new government office.
Clair Perry O’Neill has welcomed the Office of Veterans’ Affairs which will work to deliver better outcomes for veterans, particularly in areas such as mental health, employment and housing.
She said: “I am very proud to represent the thousands of service families who live across the constituency, and the many veterans who choose to make their permanent home in the local area when they leave the armed forces.
"I know from my own constituency casework that there is more to do to ensure that support for veterans is fully joined-up, and I welcome the Government’s commitment to ensure world-class provision of life-long veterans’ care services and that the contribution that veterans make to our nation is fully recognised.”
