STAGECOACH has confirmed that a handful of bus services that had previously been cancelled have since been reinstated.
Services on the number 2, 6, 8 and 9 routes were cancelled this morning due “operational issues and staff shortages,” Stagecoach confirmed via its Twitter page.
The delays were expected to continue into the afternoon with a number of other routes also cancelled.
However the operator has now confirmed that the number 2 (Tadley/Baughurst) and 8/9 services (Kempshott/Hatch Warren) have been reinstated after bosses were able to final a “last-minute spare driver”.
No update has been given on the number 6 and 9 routes that were previously announced to have been cancelled.
Those routes include the 1549 and 1700 number 6 services to Winklebury, the 1516, 1630 and 1745 number 6 services to East Popley and the 1150, 1240 and 1300 number 9 to Kempshott Park.
Stagecoach has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
#Basingstoke - due to managing to find a last minute spare driver, we are happy to confirm that the 8/9 (Kempshot/Hatch Warren) and 2 (Tadley/Baughurst) services that were cancelled have now been reinstated.
