ON DISCOVERY Day - Tuesday 15 October - the Year 7 students spent their afternoon helping to improve the local environment around Cranbourne.
One of the ways they did this was by working together to pick up litter in the Cranbourne area.
In groups, led by the teachers, the Year 7s went to different areas near the school, using their litter pickers to get anything nearby.
They were able to pick up a lot of litter, from cans to bottle caps, with their excellent teamwork, and the help of both staff and other students, collecting an astonishnig 20 kilograms of litter in total.
The impact of this litter pick has no doubt helped the local environment a lot, and it shows how productive and satisfying it can be to work in a team and improve the lives of others.
