A COUNCILLOR is urging patients to return to Beggarwood surgery.
The Gazette has previously reported on the issues faced by the surgery, that was at risk of closure in the summer.
However, North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC) took over the reigns in September.
After meeting Felicity Green, the Chief Executive of NHUC, the practice manager Karen Blackhall and Dr Andrew Fernando at the Broadmere Road surgery last week, Cllr Dan Putty is urging people to return.
The Hatch Warren and Beggarwood representative said: "I was delighted to see the change at the surgery there and how cheerful and welcoming the friendly staff were. They were super people.
"For my part, I would like the community of Hatch Warren, Beggarwood and surrounding areas to register at the surgery - it is really going to be a great surgery."
Cllr Putty told the Gazette how the surgery was aiming to go to an 'outstanding' rating in due course.
