POLICE have released an efit of a suspect after a teenaged girl was followed and grabbed in Basingstoke.

The 18-year-old woman was walking down the pathway behind Asda in Brighton Hill when a man began to follow her.

He grabbed her by the arm but she managed to wriggle free and ran away.

The concerning incident happened at around 10.40pm on Thursday, July 18.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "The woman reported to police in September that the man had followed her onto the footpath at the rear of Asda in Brighton Hill. He grabbed her arm but she struggled free and ran away."

Today police have released an efit of the man described by the woman.

He is said to be aged between 45 – 50 and is round six foot tall, of slim build. On the night of the ordeal, he was wearing a grey hooded jacket and glasses.

A police spokesman urged anyone with information to get in touch.
