TWO superheroes are set to take part in the Great South Run in aid of the Ark Centre.

Sergeant Trevor Taylor and PC Aiden Blackwell have previously taken on the course in Portsmouth three times for Ark Cancer Centre Charity as FedsOnLegs, but this time there will be a twist.

If they can raise £250 for the charity, they have said that they’ll run in Spider-man costumes.

Trevor said: “This will be our fourth year raising money for this great cancer charity. Many of us have been affected in some way by cancer, and we are grateful to everyone who sponsors and supports us and Ark.”

Mark Jones, director of fundraising and communications at Ark Cancer Centre Charity, said: “Trevor and Aiden are great supporters of Ark Cancer Centre Charity’s fundraising appeal to help fund an NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital, and everyone at Ark is grateful to them for taking part in another Simplyhealth Great South Run.

“They truly are Ark superheroes.”
