INSTEAD of penny machines there will be polish as a new nail bar opens its doors.

A former arcade in High Street has been replaced with a new business launching on Monday.

Martin Bui and Cherry Caw have started Diamond Nails and Beauty to offer fresh services to beauty lovers in Andover.

Martin previously owned a salon abroad but this is the first he has owned in the UK, and the first with partner Cherry.

She said: “We have worked in nail bars before, and have a long history with nails and beauty and we wanted to start our own business.”

The couple chose Andover for their businesses after they visited having lived in Eastleigh for sometime.

“We visited here and saw it was beautiful, it wasn’t too busy and it wasn’t too quiet. It is a nice place and we decided to come here and stay.”

The bar will be offering a range of services from nail extensions and acrylics to waxing and tinting, but they say they are providing a new treatment for weak nails - SNS dipping powder.

Cherry added: “We want a lot of customers to come in and they can enjoy themselves. We want to do the best for the client.”

The salon is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
