AUTUMN is arguably the best season of the year. There is still enough daylight to enjoy after work. The comfy clothes come out and countdown to Christmas begins. 

And what better way to get into the spirit of the season than by partaking in one of the county's many firework displays next month? 

Fireworks Spectacular at Hatch Warren Community Centre

If you are looking for an event that promises more than just fireworks, then this may be the one of you.

As well as a hog roast, children’s fairground rides and a licenced bar, Hatch Warren Community will be bringing live music from DJ Mark Halliday who will be providing the soundtrack to the evening.

The event is taking place on Saturday, November 2, with the gates opening at 5.30pm for a 7.30pm firework display.

Organisers said no tickets will be available on the night and asks interested parties to book in advance.

Tickets for a family of two adults and two children will cost £22 while an adult ticket is £10 and a single child or senior is £4.

Rookwood School Fireworks Display in Andover

Skyfires Fireworks provide the display for this bonfire night event which also includes a funfair, mulled wine and a hog roast.

Fireworks Extravaganza at Barlows Park in Tadley

Loddon Valley Lions is hosting a firework night on Saturday, November 2 in Barlows Park in Tadley.

As well as a gigantic bonfire, there is a competition for the best Guy Fawkes. Revellers will also be treated to a funfair, a food village and a licensed bar.

Doors open at 5pm with a children’s display at 6.30pm followed by the main display with special lighting at 7.30pm.

Fireworks Spectacular 2019 at Newbury Racecourse

Details of ticket prices aren’t yet available but the Lions Club of Newbury who regularly host this award-winning annual event are promising another incredible evening.

As well as the usual attractions, Zombie Infection will be setting up a scary maze for revellers to take part in for an extra fee.

The bar and hot drinks outlets will be moved indoors with added tables and chairs for comfort.

Winklebury and Worting Fireworks and Food

Taking place on the weekend after Guy Fawkes night, Winklebury and Worting’s event is booked in for Saturday, November 9 at St Thomas’s Church in Church Lane.

This event is unique in that it not only covers the cost of the fire work display but also includes food. Revellers can choose from a hotdog, burger or a cup of soup.

Red the Squirrel’s Whizz Bang Firework Surprise in Overton

If there was a prize for the most originally-named firework display of 2019, then Overton would definitely win.

With 2019 marking 40 years of Overton Preschool Playgroup, this event is one of 40 organised to raise money for the group.

This event, hosted by Merry Go Round Storytelling, takes place at Overton Library on Saturday, November 2 from 10.30am until 11.30am.

Bramley Fireworks

This annual event returns to Bramley Church of England School for an evening of fireworks on Friday, November 1.

There is a maximum capacity of 1,000 with adult tickets priced at £5 and children at £4.

The show itself begins at 7pm with the gates opening at 5pm.

As well as a licensed bar and seating area, there will be a BBQ with hot drinks and sweet treats available.

Whitchurch Halloween Fireworks at Millennium Fields 

This event is taking place on Saturday, October 26 with gates opening at 5pm for a 7.30pm start.

Overton Fireworks Extravaganza 

This Overton School Association 2019 Fireworks Extravaganza is taking place on Saturday, November 9. 

Gates open at 5pm for food an drinks with the display starting at 6pm.

Advance rate tickets are on sale now from The Overton Gallery - Adults (12 years+) £6, Children £2. Those under five go free. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the night for £7 and £3 respectively.

This event is a big fundraiser which supports the association. 

There is also a call for volunteers who would like to help out at the event. Those interested are asked to email osahelpers@outlook.com.

The only parking available will be for those with disabled badges.
