Firefighters had to pull an unconscious -60-year-old man from a bungalow fire in South Ham last night.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the property in Cleaver Road, after reports of residents seeing smoke billowing from the property.
Upon arrival at the scene around 7.30pm on October 10, crews found a 60-year-old man inside and unconscious.
He was taken to Basingstoke hospital be South Central Ambulance Service to receive treatment.
The fire service, along with Hampshire Constabulary, has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at 8.59pm, but returned to the property this morning to help with the investigation.
