AN APPEAL for witnesses has been made after a man attempted to steal gold chains from a shop.
The man entered Squirrels Antiques, in Joices Yard, on Sunday, September 27, where he “grabbed” a number of the gold chains from the store before attempting to run out.
However, he dropped a number of the items as he tried to evade staff and exit the store.
The man is described as around 6”4 and wearing a fleeced jumper and shorts.
Anyone who recognises him or has any information regarding the incident are asked to contact the police on 101 quoting 44190346948.
