A MAN has been arrested and will appear in court after a car crash on Saturday night.
Photographs showed the devastating impact of the pile up where miraculously no one was seriously injured.
Ryan Haines, 25, from Tadley, has been charged with driving a vehicle while above the alcohol limit.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 15.
On Saturday night, the Gazette reported how a woman's car was badly damaged when a motorist ploughed into a parked car so hard, it moved several foot.
As a result, his car smashed into the barrier on the opposite side and veered into the pathway of an oncoming motorist.
The fire brigade had to cut the driver out.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 11.19pm on 28 September to a report of a three-vehicle collision in Winchester Road, Basingstoke.
"No serious injuries were reported. A man was arrested in connection with this incident.
"Ryan John Haines, 25, of Kestrels Mead, Tadley, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit.
"He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15 October."
