A RESIDENT was attacked with a pair of bolt croppers during an attempted burglary near Basingstoke this weekend.
Four men were caught breaking into an outhouse in the B3046 near Brown Candover between 11.50pm on Saturday night and 12:05am this morning (Sunday).
During the incident, and after challenging the culprits, the resident was assaulted and left injured when one of the four attacked him with a pair of bolt cutters.
A vehicle drove past the location while the incident was talking place and police are appealing for anyone who might have seen anything to get in contact.
Police Constable Andrew Reid said: “I ask if you were on the B3046 in Brown Candover between these times and date and saw anything untoward or out of the ordinary, perhaps a vehicle parked up or leaving a residential property, please give either me or the CID at Basingstoke a call on 101 or 0800 555111 and quote crime reference 44190347473.”
