TRIBUTES have been left at the scene of a fatal crash near Hook.

Motorcyclist Tenny Turner Snr, 53, of Hound Green Close, was killed in an incident with a silver car at around 10.30pm last Tuesday on the junction of Vicarage Lane and the B3349 Reading Road in Houndgreen.

The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Reading, failed to stop and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released but remains under investigation.

Tributes have been left on the side of the B3349.

One message said: "There are not enough words in the universe to describe how I feel.

"I love you with all my heart and soul now and forever," it continued.

Amongst the flowers and messages were boxing gloves and a motorcycle helmet.

Police were called to the scene late on Tuesday night and confirmed the death of the 53-year-old at 1.30am on Wednesday.

Officers were in the area until around 9.30am on Wednesday morning, speaking to potential witnesses.

One nearby resident said that she heard the screeching of brakes and the crash at around 10.30pm, but did not see the incident take place.

Another said the news was "awful".
