OVERTON’S food truck that “does it all” was recently recognised at the British Street Food Awards.
Dolly, a Citroen 2CV that has been converted into a food truck, was nominated as a finalist in both the “best main dish” and “best dessert” categories at the awards ceremony, held at Hawker House in London last Saturday.
Dolly ultimately fell short in both categories, losing out to the eventual British Food Awards champion Utter Waffle in the race for best dessert - although she did scoop the Most Photographed All Weekend award.
Andrew Mellon, the chef behind Dolly, was praised for producing such a “remarkable” range of foods from the back of a 2CV.
