A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager following a stabbing in Basingstoke.

Olamide Soyege, 28, of Mayswood Gardens appeared at Winchester Crown Court today (September 9) has been charged with the murder of Taylor John Williams.

The 28-year-old man from Dagenham, Essex, was also charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a knife.

Appearing in front of Judge Keith Cutler, wearing a light grey tracksuit, Mr Soyege only spoke to confirm his name, date of birth and nationality.

Mr Soyege appeared in court alongside his co-defendant Paige Taylor, of no fixed abode, who has been charged with the robbery of Class A drugs and conspiracy to 'rob others from a drug network'.

The pair shared a fist bump in the dock before the judge entered the court.

Ms Taylor, wearing a dark grey tracksuit, with a silver chain around her neck, also only spoke to confirm her name, date of birth and nationality.

No pleas were entered in the court with the case being adjourned until October 7.
